I am passionate about teaching you what it takes to begin your private practice. It can be intimidating to navigate everything to build a sustainable practice. And, it can be done with passion. Teresa Paterson Bartch is an entrepreneur who has built a large group practice by practicing integrity and intentionality, and she is ready to provide you with the same intentionality and guidance to lead you to success!
Ethical practice is paramount, while developing sound business practice. She is the founder and owner of Embark Counseling Services, LLC, which has been in business for over 10 years. Embark has five locations and employs 28+ clinicians in two states. For the last 15 years, she has build a solid practice and provided support and guidance for others across the US who have had a dream to go into private practice. Prior to owning Embark Counseling Services, LLC, Teresa Paterson Bartch has held other business leadership roles, providing professional development and social services support.
She is a LPC in Missouri and Arizona, and LCPC in Kansas, with post-graduate certifications in Play Therapy, as a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™, and in EMDR as an EMDR Certified Therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant. She provides Play Therapy Supervision and EMDR Consultation for licensed therapists pursuing certification, or wanting to strengthen their skills integrating Play Therapy and EMDR.
She is a board approved Supervisor in Missouri and Kansas, where she continuously navigates ethics and best practice in helping mental health professionals develop their clinical and entrepreneurial expertise.
Her career has spanned over 30 years, where she has been featured in local media as a Parent Expert and held positions as Billing Department Manager, Credentialing Specialist, Head Start Director, Lead Therapist and Clinical Director. She has experienced every aspect of leading a medical practice, and has developed specific skills and a deep understanding of the world of mental health and medical practices.

In her personal life, she enjoys spending time with family. In her free time, she loves spending time in nature, running, reading and traveling with her husband, family and close group of friends.
